However, even before she considers rendering her expert opinion on any matter, Dr. Papillon carefully evaluates all of the information given to her by lawyers and/or interviews the people involved to gather extensive evidence before making a decision on whether to participate in the process or not. Once a decision has been made, she is open to going onto the stand to testify for the side who has requested her expertise in a particular case.

In doing so, she has had to answer to attorneys for both sides of any particular case, one of which is of course trying to discredit her. But Dr. Papillon's approach presents the information she has gathered over time in such a way that she not only is believable, but juries and judges respect her, given her professional background and the manner in which she presents the information.
